Our in-house machining capabilities support milling, drilling, contour cutting and finished components based on customer drawings.
Quality Documentation
JUTAI operates under ISO 9001:2015 and can provide applicable technical data, resin documentation and compliance information upon request.
PEI sheet is the more efficient stock shape for components with predominantly flat, rectangular or plate-like geometry.
Typical examples include:
• Electrical insulating panels
• Mounting plates
• Fixture bases
• Semiconductor equipment plates
• Equipment covers
• Structural frames
• Machined blocks
• Inspection fixtures
• Support plates
• Trays and holders
• Flat spacers
• Electrical barriers
• Instrument panels
• Manifold-style components
Using sheet for these components can reduce material waste, shorten milling time and simplify clamping compared with machining the same geometry from an oversized rod.
For cylindrical components such as bushings, rollers, sleeves and round spacers, PEI rod normally provides better material utilization.
JTYPEI® NA can provide reliable long-term performance at temperatures up to approximately 170°C, depending on mechanical load, pressure, chemical exposure, component geometry and other operating conditions.
The typical glass transition temperature of natural PEI is approximately 217°C.
The glass transition temperature should not be treated as the recommended continuous operating temperature of a finished component.
Final suitability must be evaluated according to the actual operating temperature, exposure duration, mechanical stress and environmental conditions.
PEI offers low moisture absorption, good creep resistance and relatively low thermal expansion compared with many conventional engineering plastics.
These properties help milled plates, frames and fixtures maintain their dimensions during assembly, temperature changes and long-term operation.
For components requiring tight flatness, parallelism or dimensional tolerances, controlled annealing may be required before, during or after machining.
Natural unfilled PEI provides high volume resistivity, good dielectric strength and stable electrical performance over a wide temperature and frequency range.
PEI sheet is particularly suitable for flat components that must provide both structural support and electrical separation.
Typical examples include:
• High-voltage insulating plates
• Electrical barriers
• Connector mounting panels
• Sensor support plates
• Battery insulation components
• Test-equipment bases
• Terminal support plates
• Semiconductor equipment fixtures
JTYPEI® NA provides high tensile and flexural strength together with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio.
The material is suitable for precision plates, mounting components, equipment supports and other parts requiring a combination of stiffness, electrical insulation and reduced weight.
Component thickness, mounting method, unsupported span and operating temperature must be considered during structural design.
PEI is inherently flame-resistant in many standard formulations and can provide low smoke generation.
A UL94 V-0 rating may be available depending on the selected resin grade, sheet thickness and test conditions.
Compliance with aviation, railway, electrical or other industry-specific flame and smoke requirements must be confirmed according to the selected resin grade and finished component.
JTYPEI® NA offers good resistance to many oils, fuels, hydrocarbons, alcohols, weak acids, hot water and industrial cleaning environments.
However, PEI may be affected by:
• Strong alkalis
• Chlorinated solvents
• Certain polar solvents
• Chemical exposure combined with high mechanical stress
• Aggressive chemicals at elevated temperatures
Chemical compatibility should be evaluated according to the actual medium, concentration, temperature, pressure, exposure time and mechanical load.
PEI sheet is suitable for:
• CNC milling
• Drilling
• Pocket machining
• Profiling
• Engraving
• Surface machining
• Thread machining
• Cut-to-size fabrication
• Precision dimensional inspection
Sharp tools, suitable cutting parameters, stable clamping and adequate cooling should be used to minimize cutting heat and internal stress.
JTYPEI® NA sheet covers thin insulating panels, medium-thickness machined plates and thick stock for precision-milled components.
Availability should be confirmed according to thickness, width, length and required quantity.
Standard widths include 620 mm and 1,240 mm, with lengths up to 3,000 mm available depending on thickness and manufacturing process.
Large-format sheets can improve nesting efficiency when producing multiple components from one panel.
SABIC ULTEM™ 1000 resin can be supplied according to customer requirements for material performance, resin traceability and supporting documentation.
JUTAI maintains stock of commonly requested PEI sheet thicknesses to support samples, urgent production, small orders and recurring purchasing requirements.
Current stock should be confirmed according to thickness, sheet size, resin grade and quantity.
PEI sheets can be cut into smaller panels, strips, blocks or near-net-size blanks.
Cut-to-size supply can reduce freight volume, customer handling time, machining preparation and material waste.
Annealing can be provided for components requiring extensive material removal, tight dimensional tolerances or improved stability at elevated temperatures.
JUTAI provides CNC milling, drilling, grinding, profiling and dimensional inspection according to customer drawings or samples.
Machining tolerances depend on component dimensions, thickness, geometry, wall thickness, material removal and inspection requirements.

Use sharp carbide or tungsten-carbide tools suitable for aluminum and engineering plastics.
Apply stable, evenly distributed clamping pressure. Excessive point loading can deform the sheet or create internal stress.
For components requiring extensive pocket machining, remove material gradually and maintain balanced machining on both sides where possible.
Large, uneven material removal may release internal stress and affect flatness.
For large-diameter holes, begin with a smaller pilot hole and gradually enlarge the hole.
Avoid excessive feed rates, heat accumulation and direct drilling with oversized tools.
Use adequate cooling to prevent excessive cutting heat, material burning, tool adhesion and dimensional instability.
Water-soluble cutting fluids may be used where appropriate, subject to final cleaning and application requirements.
Annealing should be considered for:
• Large machined plates
• Tight-tolerance components
• Parts requiring extensive material removal
• Thin-wall frames
• Components with large differences in wall thickness
• Parts used at elevated temperatures
• Components requiring multiple machining stages
• Parts with demanding flatness or parallelism requirements
For high-precision components, rough machining followed by intermediate annealing and final machining may improve dimensional stability.
Store PEI sheets:
• Away from direct sunlight
• In a clean and dry environment
• Away from moisture, dust and oily substances
• On a flat and properly supported surface
• With protective film or suitable packaging when not in use
• Without excessive stacking pressure on thin sheets
Allow the material to reach the machining-room temperature before precision machining or dimensional inspection.
JTYPEI® NA PEI sheets are available in thicknesses from 1 to 100 mm.
Standard widths include 620 mm and 1,240 mm, with lengths of 1,000 mm, 2,000 mm and 3,000 mm available depending on thickness and manufacturing requirements.

Yes. JUTAI provides CNC milling, drilling, grinding, profiling, annealing and dimensional inspection according to customer drawings or samples.
JTYPEI® NA can provide long-term service at temperatures up to approximately 170°C, depending on mechanical load, pressure, chemical exposure and component design.
The final design should be evaluated according to the complete application rather than temperature alone.
ULTEM™ 1000 is an unfilled PEI grade offering balanced strength, toughness, electrical insulation and machinability.
ULTEM™ 2300 contains 30% glass fiber and provides higher stiffness, lower thermal expansion and improved dimensional stability.
Glass-filled PEI is more abrasive to machining tools and normally has a less uniform machined surface than natural unfilled PEI.
PEI offers good resistance to many oils, fuels, hydrocarbons, alcohols and weak aqueous solutions.
It may be affected by strong alkalis, chlorinated solvents and certain polar solvents. Chemical compatibility should be confirmed under the actual operating conditions.
