| JTYPEI®NA, JUTAI manufactures Ultem™ 1000 PEI sheets made from virgin SABIC resin with excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, dimensional stability, custom cutting and CNC machining services. | |||||||||
is manufactured from premium virgin polyetherimide (PEI) resin to provide exceptional heat resistance, dimensional stability, mechanical strength, and electrical insulation. Designed for demanding industrial environments, PEI sheet maintains reliable performance under continuous high-temperature conditions while offering excellent machinability for precision components.
Compared with conventional engineering plastics such as PSU and PPS, Ultem™ 1000 PEI sheet offers higher strength, stiffness and long-term thermal performance, making it suitable for semiconductor, aerospace, medical, electronics, automotive and industrial equipment applications.
JUTAI supplies PEI sheets in multiple thicknesses and standard sizes with custom cutting, CNC machining and worldwide delivery.
PEI sheet offers excellent dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and low thermal expansion, making it ideal for precision engineering and machined components.
Appearance: Transparent amber color, non-toxic and odorless
Excellent dimensional stability with low molding shrinkage
Unreinforced PEI: 0.5%–0.7%
Glass fiber reinforced: 0.1%–0.3%
Water absorption: 0.16%
Low coefficient of thermal expansion, similar to metals
PEI provides outstanding strength, stiffness, and creep resistance while maintaining excellent mechanical performance at elevated temperatures.
Tensile strength: Up to 15,000 psi
Retains approximately 6,000 psi at 190°C
Flexural modulus (20% GF): Up to 1,700,000 psi
Elongation at break: 60–80%
Excellent creep and fatigue resistance
High impact strength with proper component design
PEI sheet maintains excellent mechanical and electrical performance under continuous high-temperature conditions, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Continuous service temperature: 150–170°C
Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT): Up to 220°C
Glass transition temperature (Tg): 217°C
Short-term heat resistance: 180–200°C
Excellent thermal stability
PEI is inherently flame retardant without additional additives, offering low smoke emission and excellent fire safety performance.
Oxygen Index: 47%
UL94 V-0
Low smoke and low toxicity
PEI resists a wide range of industrial chemicals and hot water, making it suitable for harsh industrial and chemical processing environments.
Excellent resistance to hydrocarbons, alcohols, oils, halogenated solvents and inorganic acids
Excellent hydrolysis resistance
Retains 85% tensile strength after 104 hours in boiling water
Limited resistance to strong alkalis and certain solvents above 150°C
PEI offers excellent electrical insulation with low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, and high dielectric strength. Its outstanding microwave transparency at GHz frequencies makes it an ideal material for electrical insulation, semiconductor equipment, RF devices, optical communication, and high-frequency electronic applications.
